On the island of Berk, a timberjack appeared from the sea.
Her leathery wings stretched in full length, gliding from the strength of the sea drafts. The island loomed underneath the giant dragon, sloping upwards under a thicket of trees to create a pair of towering, steep mountains divided apart by a tiny canal flowing into the ocean flanking each side of the peaks. Her intelligent yellow eyes scanned the ground for a place to land, hoping to find somewhere to sleep that night.
Spotting a clearing, the giant dragon swooped down, her razor-sharp wings slicing through the tops of pines that stood in her way like they were flimsy sheets of paper. A large pile of rocks stood poised in the middle of the clearing, looking like a pleasant place to drape her large wings and skinny body. The wind whistled through her duel curled horns as she reached out to grapple at the rocks with hooks at the end of her wings. Once hooked into the rocks, she began to awkwardly shift until she was lying in a position that didn't dig loose twigs and stones into her scales.
Closing her eyes to doze, the timberjack did her best to not think about why she was on the island of Berk and not back home.

Also on the island of Berk, a young boy appeared.
This young boy which looked normal at a glance, his fluffy hair drifting in the watery breeze, though what was different about him was his eyes. His foggy blue eyes that stared into nothingness. Though despite that it had an observant look about it, those foggy blue the color of mist in a creek or a swamp, that is what he was good at at least. Observing. Since he lost his sight that's all of what he does. And in a way that's how he sees. Using his other senses to observe what was going on around him. The young boy hopped over a log a small grunt escaped him as he landed. He's taken this path many times during his life.
This is the area where most wild dragons reside in. Though you might be questioning to why a young blind boy is wandering a forest by himself with wild dragons around him? Well he's always wanted a dragon for himself and he's taken it upon himself to observe these dragons. So once he gets his own he would know how to act around them. And how they will act around him. Though he never wanders too far from the village, just in cause he meets any aggressive wild dragons. The wind rustled through his hair again as he drew in a breath. Maybe this was the day.
Though, as he stepped on a twig and brushes past a tree branch, he has learned not to have much hope. As he's been waiting for the day for..years.

Before she could sink into an uneasy slumber, her great yellow eyes snapped open when a snap cracked into the silent air like a sudden firecracker. Timberjacks didn't have a great sense of smell, but whatever creature wandered in the forest was close enough that their scent wafted into her nose as bright as day. Alert, the giant dragon peered down from her pile of rocks into the thicket where the scent was coming from. No matter what creature it was, she would not let her guard down until she knew for certain whether it was friend- or foe.
A moment passed, and nothing appeared. Narrowing her eyes dangerously at the spot where she knew the creature was, the giant dragon began to unfold her gigantic wings, razor sharp edges glinting ominously in the sun. At the second they were out far enough to reach the clearing tip to tip, her wings rose and beat one large stroke, rushing wind into the once-still open space and allowing her hooks to let go of the rocks to lift into the air. Eyes set on her target, the she-dragon rose allowed the wind and gravity to swoop her into the trees.
The trees in her way had no chance of standing against the might of her razor edges. One by one, the tops of pines crashed into the ground like a rain of falling trees, shaking the land as she darted into the creature that had en-roached on her space.

Suddenly the boy heard a something moving, something huge. Frozen he stayed perfectly still knowing if he makes sudden moves it might spook the dragon. Well if it is a dragon..and if it is a dragon one that can be tamed. He's heard of some dragons that can't be tamed at all, no matter if its the greatest dragon master dealing with them. Though they didn't appear a lot in Berk he was not taking that chance. Gulping his foggy eyes glanced everywhere as he tried using his other senses to pick it up. Notably his hearing. After all since he can't see his other senses picks up the slack.
Though as a few moments pass and he didn't hear anything, nor sense anything he gulped again. Maybe it was just his imagination? Maybe it was his senses playing tricks with him again. Sometimes that does happen. Though as he felt eyes boring into him. Making his skin crawl and his hair along his arms stand on end he realized he didn't sense nothing. There was something there he was for sure. Something that didn't seem to happy. As suddenly a huge gust of wind engulfed the surrounding area he let out a gasp of air. As he heard trees falling around him, the tops of pines crashing to the ground, he realized what he was facing. There wasn't many dragons that can chop though trees like that with just one gust. He was facing a Timberjack. And it didn't seem to friendly.
Falling to the ground he dragged himself away covering his face as bits of pines and tree branches fell all around him. Though he cried out in pain as one landed on his leg, a large one as well. Oh Thor he must have wandered into her land. Her territory. Drawing in quick breaths he tried to pull himself from the huge branch but nothing he could do would work. His foggy eyes darted to the dragon, his eyes wide and scared. "I-I'm sorry..I didn't mean to!" His voice squeaked, terrified at the dragon. Great is he going to get eaten by a dragon..Ain't that just a great way to go...

The timberjack stared down at the small, skinny creature that peered up at her with terrified eyes. She narrowed her eyes at him, not trusting this strange being for what it was. Why did it look so strange? Didn't it smell her nearby? But before she could start to growl threateningly at the little being, it cried out in pain when a dislodged tree-trunk landed onto its twig-like legs. Her family's warnings against a type of creature that acted sporadically yet looked weak echoed through her head like instinct itself, urging the giant dragon not to buy anything the creature did. It was so weak, but it didn't look like prey.
When it whimpered, the timberjack couldn't help but hear the cry of a hatchling. The little creature started to speak with a voice filled with fear, squeaking like many of her first brood had.
Backing away, the timberjack decided not to eat it. It sounded too much like a clutch of hatchlings. But she didn't trust it enough to help the creature get out of the trunk- it could be one of the creatures her family had warned her about so long ago.
